The present, a reality that is determined by realities that were or will be.
But how presently can fashion actually be?
One is constantly inundated with new inspirations, ideas, trends and materials.
The past is taken up and combined with new, innovative materials and reinvented. Here, too, everything is once again interrelated. The basis of all ideas comes from the past and still gives impulses for the future.
So how can you create a collection that combines all this and still represents the present?
The sustainable unisex collection "the long now" attempts to represent a form of the present through clothing using various approaches to the theme of time and to convey a feeling of individuality, diversity and reality. In the process, a constantly evolving character is created. Decay and emergence are the main features of the present, just like change and movement. The collection tries to unite all of this.
By means of a linking system using magnets, the various modules of the collection can be lengthened or shortened and combined in different ways. The wearer can constantly redefine and reinvent him/herself through the clothing. This gives him/her the feeling of origin and reality. Everyone experiences their own subjective experience of time and a feeling of individuality. One always creates a new identity for oneself. The constant change of appearance continuously brings the garment to mind. The personal feeling that is created by the wearer, based on the subjective experience, represents the close connection between the perception of time and body.

The versatility of the collection pieces also ensures long wearability. The various time modes that extend forward and backward are mainly underlined by layering. The importance of memories and experiences for the present is repeatedly taken up in various features of the collection. The fabrics and yarns used are made exclusively from recycled materials or residual stock. Fabrics from old collections or materials from discarded clothing are always to be found in the designs. On the one hand, they represent a form of the past that flows into the present. On the other hand, they show a sustainable, resource-conserving handling of the materials with regard to the future. The fabrics appear very classic and simple at first, but the bold combination of the various striped and checked patterns and the interplay of the colourful knitwear gives the collection an individual, humorous character.
The simple, straight-lined cuts, which are also partly taken up again from old collections, give the collection a timeless character and at the same time offer the possibility to wear the pieces on various occasions and to slip into different roles.

The title "the long now" refers to the idea of the permanent present, which consists of expectations and memories, but in the subjective experience of time it gives the wearer a feeling of a continuously flowing stream.
It can't be ruled out that this is also a fast-moving short moment, but when you become aware of it, you can feel the reality of the present for a moment.
